Checklist 2: Adapt To Stakeholders’ Needs

  3. your organisation should increase the areas of relevance with its key stakeholders

Stakeholders’ needs may change over time; your organisation needs to understand what clients, donors and other stakeholders want. Use checklist #2 below to help your organisation adapt to stakeholders’ needs.

– any decision-making group, committee or advocacy working group that has influence over sexual and reproductive health and rights in your country?
Partnerships
Does your organisation establish and build relationships with donors and partners?
Does your organisation attend any events that bring you into contact with donors and partners? 



National delegationsDoes your organisation participate in your national government’s delegations to international events and conferences?
– For example the Commission on the Status of Women, the Commission on Population and Development, and Women Deliver?
Stakeholders’ NeedsDo your organisation’s mission and activities continue to relate to stakeholders’ requirements – including your clients’?
– You must ensure there is a tight fit between stakeholders’ needs and goals, and your values, principles and programmes.
InnovationDoes your organisation have the ability to innovate in response to changes, and adapt its service delivery, to ensure it remains relevant?
Communications materialsDoes your organisation list all areas of relevance in all your communications materials?
– All your communications such as concept notes, proposals, presentations, factsheets, case studies, academic papers, articles, and organizational documents, should emphasize the areas that link your organisation and your donors and partners.
